Conjunction (Bağlaç) Nedir?

Conjunction, İngilizce dilinde kelimeleri, kelime öbeklerini veya cümleleri birbirine bağlamak için kullanılan bir yapıdır. Bu yapı sayesinde birbiriyle ilgili olan cümleler veya kelime öbekleri daha anlaşılır ve tutarlı bir şekilde ifade edilebilir.

Örnek cümleler ve Türkçe karşılıkları aşağıda verilmiştir:

1. I will eat pizza and drink soda. (Pizza yiyeceğim ve soda içeceğim.)
2. She was tired, so she went to bed early. (O yorgundu, bu yüzden erken yattı.)
3. He is tall, but she is short. (O uzun boylu, ama o kısa boylu.)
4. He studies hard, yet he still struggles in math. (O çok çalışıyor, yine de matematikte zorlanıyor.)
5. You can go to the concert, or you can stay home. (Konsere gidebilirsin, ya da evde kalabilirsin.)
6. I didn’t study for the exam, so I didn’t do well. (Sınava hazırlanmadım, bu yüzden iyi yapamadım.)
7. I am tired but I still have work to do. (Yorgunum ama hala yapacak işim var.)
8. He likes to play basketball, and he is good at it too. (O basketbol oynamayı seviyor, ve iyi de.)
9. She wanted to go to the beach, however it was raining. (O plaja gitmek istedi, ancak yağmur yağıyordu.)
10. I am allergic to cats, so I can’t have one as a pet. (Kedilere alerjim var, bu yüzden evcil hayvan olarak edinemem.)
11. The restaurant was expensive, yet the food was not good. (Restoran pahalıydı, yine de yemekler iyi değildi.)
12. I have to study for my exams, therefore I can’t go out tonight. (Sınavlarıma çalışmak zorundayım, bu yüzden bu gece dışarı çıkamam.)
13. He is a good singer, but he is not very popular. (O iyi bir şarkıcı, ama çok popüler değil.)
14. You can take the train, or you can take the bus. (Trene binebilirsin, ya da otobüse.)

15. She is not feeling well, so she stayed home today. (O kendini iyi hissetmiyor, bu yüzden bugün evde kaldı.)
16. He is a doctor, therefore he knows a lot about medicine. (O bir doktor, bu yüzden tıp hakkında çok şey biliyor.)
17. I like to read, but I don’t have much free time. (Okumayı severim, ama çok fazla boş zamanım yok.)
18. She is my sister, and we have a lot in common. (O benim kız kardeşim, ve birçok ortak özelliğimiz var.)
19. He is a good athlete, however he has never won a championship. (O iyi bir sporcu, ancak hiçbir şampiyonluk kazanmadı.)
